Authorised Tag Heuer Watch Battery Replacement

Many of us won’t even think about replacing the battery in our Tag Heuer watch until we absolutely have to but there is a risk that by doing this you could be causing lasting damage to one of your most treasured possessions.

That’s because each and every Tag Heuer watch is designed specifically to last for years while still performing at its very best time-after-time but in order to do so, your treasured timepiece requires regular care and attention to ensure it is in the very best condition.

When it comes to when you need to replace your battery, that can very much depend on how often your Tag Heuer watch is used and in what environment, as this can all make a huge difference to how it will age over time; and we suggest a full service should be carried out every 4-5 years.

However, you should wait this long before replacing the battery due to the fact that an old battery can pose a threat to the workings of your watch if not updated regularly, so suggest a replacement around every 12 to 18 months in order to reduce the risks posed by ageing and corrosion.

THE BATTERY IS THE HEART OF YOUR TAG HEUER

A Tag Heuer watch contains hundreds of individual moving parts which all work together to ensure it performs to its optimum level day-after-day, year-after-year and at the heart of this is the battery, which is key when it comes to accurate time-keeping.

But if the battery is left too long without being replaced then it could be at risk of leaking and causing damage to the internal parts and if that happens it will need to be fully serviced and the movement replaced, even if this is not due for a number of years.

Because of the risks involved we recommend that the battery in your Tag Heuer watch is replaced every 12-18 months in order to guarantee that is performing to its full potential and to minimize risk of further damage caused by leaks or corrosion and charge a flat fee of £48 (including VAT) for all replacements, which also comes with a full, two-year guarantee.

At Luxury Watch Repairs we can carry out a battery replacement & pressure testing (where applicable) while you wait at our service centre, usually within 20 minutes, though we do recommend leaving the watch with us for 24 hours to allow us to carry out sufficient time-keeping and battery consumption tests. If you’re sending it to us using our pre-paid postage pack, we will return the watch within 24 to 48 hours.
